  • Use the same helper (the helping verb): am / is / are, was / were, can, have / has, will.
  • No helper in the first sentence (the present simple or the past simple)? Use do / does / did.
  • The helper comes before the person: So do I. So does my sister. (not So I do)
  • After neither, the verb is positive: Neither can I. (not Neither can't I). A sentence with never is negative too: I've never… → Neither have I.
  • In one sentence: My dad loves golf, and so does my uncle. My phone isn't working, and neither is the TV.
Me too and Me neither are short and informal, but only for I. For other people, and for the right helper, use So… and Neither….
