Warm-up

Before we look back at unit 22 and the whole course:

  1. What is the longest trip you have ever taken by bus or by train?
  2. When do you use English outside our lessons?
  3. Which do you like more: learning new words or practicing grammar? Why?

becausea reasonI might take a test because my company wants to send me to Toronto.
soa resultI used to be afraid of phone calls, so this message is a big step.

because ofa reason, before a nounKenji didn't need a car because of the subway.
Two things to watch: one linking word joins two ideas, not two (not Although…, but…, not Because…, so…), and because of goes before a noun, not a sentence.

Teach it live with video and a whiteboard, or print it: the PDF has every slide, the homework and the answers.
