Warm-up

Before we look back at the last three units:

  1. What did you do on your last vacation?
  2. Are you good at finding lost things?
  3. What is something you want to buy this year?

Grammar rule

Grammar from units 1–3

UnitGrammarExample
1the past simple: irregular verbs, and did / didn't + the base formI brought you some coffee. I didn't buy much. Did you see the pyramids?
2one negative in a sentenceI couldn't find it anywhere. Nobody saw anything.
3much, many, a lot ofso many tacos · not much money · a lot of photos
Three things to watch: the base form after did and didn't (not didn't bought), only one negative (not I didn't see nobody), and much with uncountable nouns (not many money).

Teach it live with video and a whiteboard, or print it: the PDF has every slide, the homework and the answers.
