How too and enough work

FormMeaningExample
too + adjectivemore than is good: a problemThis chair is too low.
adjective + enoughwhat we need: OKIs the room quiet enough for you?
not + adjective + enoughless than we need: a problemThe answer isn't clear enough.

+ for: too far for a walk · safe enough for children · not big enough for a family of six

too or very? very = a lot, and it can be OK; too = more than is good, so there is a problem. The water was very cold, but we swam. / The water was too cold for the kids: they got out after a minute.

enough goes after the adjective: warm enough (not enough warm). No much after too: too hot (not too much hot).
too and enough also work with adverbs: You talk too fast. She didn't sing loudly enough.
Don't mix up too and to, and remember that too at the end of a sentence means also: I like it, too.

Teach it live with video and a whiteboard, or print it: the PDF has every slide, the homework and the answers.
